The Friends of the Belleville Public Library are getting ready for our second annual silent auction.  Last spring the silent auction raised close to $3,000, thanks to over 75 donated baskets and gift cards.  The proceeds from this year’s auction will be donated to the Library for the building of a new library and community center.

Our well-used Library has outgrown its forty-year-old building.  Belleville Public Library is a very busy place.  The number of items borrowed per resident is more than twice the statewide average; 153 people visit the library on a typical weekday.  The new...
