Grants Awarded by New Glarus Community Fund and New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund

On Wednesday, November 15, the New Glarus Community Fund, as well as the New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund, presented grants at a reception held at the New Glarus Hotel. Pictured are the recipients of the Excellence in Education Fund grants.
Since its inception in 1996, the New Glarus Community Fund and New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund has awarded more than $308,000 in grants to area organizations for 223 projects. At a recent reception at the New Glarus Hotel over $30,000 was awarded to the following organizations:
New Glarus Community Fund: New Glarus Veterans Park – Desert Storm/Gulf War/Iraq/Afghanistan Monument; New Glarus Library – Space Makers Event; New Glarus Vision – Krafty Kids – Supplies, Music in the Park, Movable Storage Building for Ball Field; New Glarus Historical Society – Hall of History Mural & Landscape; New Glarus Fire District – Squad 1 Winch; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Green County – New Glarus School Lunch Buddy Mentoring; New Glarus Middle School – Shedd Aquarium; Village of New Glarus – Dog Park Project, Chalet of the Golden Fleece – Museum Restoration; Wilhelm Tell Guild – Water Well Repair, Extend Power to 2 Secondary Power Pedestals.
Dr. Fred W. and Alice J. Kundert Charitable Fund: Swiss Center of North America – Alphorn for Jodel Klub; New Glarus Historical Society – Hall of History Mural and Landscape.
Anonymous II Fund: Swiss Center of North America – Alphorn for Jodel Klub.
New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund: School District of New Glarus: Wyalusing Bethel Horizons, Wyalusing Stonefield Village, Blankets for Compassion, Elementary School Outdoor Sand Tables, Breakout EDU, Garden Expansion.
