A Challenge to Belleville Alumni

Village President Roger Hillebrand and Library Director Bronna Lehmann stand at the chosen site for the new Belleville Public Library and Community Center. The former Landmark Mill on S. Park Street, across from Library Park, was demolished earlier this year. The capital campaign is close to the halfway point of our $1 million dollar goal. Watch for information about how families and businesses can help us reach our goal so we can begin construction on this important resource for our community. Remember - It takes a Village to Raise a Library.

Dear Belleville Alumni,

As you may have heard, the Belleville Public Library has launched a capital campaign to raise funds for a new library. We are excited to announce that the Village has committed $2 million as a challenge to the community to raise an additional $1 million. As part of the overall goal, we are challenging alumni to help raise a total of $75,000 to sponsor the Belleville History/Genealogy Area in the new library. Each class that raises $5,000 will be recognized on a plaque in that area. Individual donors will be listed in the Donor Recognition Area, or you can honor...
