Clara H. Anderson

Clara H. Anderson, age 86 of New Glarus, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the New Glarus Home. She was born on August 10, 1931, to her parents, Gottlieb and Elizabeth (Luthe) Wyttenbach, in the Town of Moscow, Iowa County, WI.

Clara attended school in Blanchardville and married William Anderson at the Primrose Lutheran Church. She was a mother and homemaker, who also did in home daycare for many children over the years. Clara enjoyed playing a good game of Euchre or any card game, watching sports, especially the Chicago Bulls, and doing puzzles. She could also bake a great batch of cookies.

Clara is survived by her daughters, Charlotte (Tom) Nelson, Susan (Denver Triem) Anderson, Jean (Kurt) Foster and Mary (Todd) Long; daughter-in-law, Sue Anderson; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and companion, Gordie Larson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Mark; grandson, Christopher; son-in-law, Charlie Bethke; and fourteen brothers and sisters.

A visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Monday, September 11, 2017, at the New Glarus Home Chapel, 600 Second Avenue, New Glarus, WI (access via the Elm Drive entrance).

Per Clara's request there will be a private graveside burial service in the Swiss Cemetery, New Glarus.
