The Market Study Group invites all business owners, community leaders, and residents of Belleville to gather together for a town hall meeting with the purpose to share the research and analysis of the market study conducted earlier this spring. The purpose of this market study was designed to be a business development tool for Belleville. The research was led by local business and community leaders actively involved in the process. This group of people were supported by specialists and educators with UW-Extension. The project was funded by the Village of Belleville.

The research process involved the following: Identifying the geographical area to be studied; Understanding the characteristics of Belleville’s residents, businesses/workers, and visitors in our area; Conducting a business inventory; Learning from peer communities; Conducting a community survey; and Development of recommendations to increase economic development efforts.

After analyzing the data collected through the research process, the work group developed recommendations that they wish to share with those that attend the town hall meeting. These recommendations are based on the information gathered, and are intended to be implemented through multi-stakeholder efforts. The town hall meeting will be held on September 19, 2017, from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., at the Belleville High School Auditorium.
