Joely L. Roosli

Joely L. Roosli, age 58 of Madison, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the Waunakee Manor. He was born on January 4, 1959, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, the son of Eugene and Joyce (Meier) Roosli.

He graduated from Belleville High School in 1977, and then attended MATC in Madison. With a desire to explore the country and see new places, Joely embarked on a journey across the country on his motorcycle; he visited 39 of the 50 states on his bike. Experiencing America on his Harley-Davidson was motorcycle therapy. After returning to Wisconsin he worked at Capital Newspapers as a press operator for 29 years. Joely enjoyed western movies on Saddle Up Saturday, camping, bikes, and cars, especially his pride and joy '68 Mustang.

Joely is survived by his mother, Joyce Roosli; brothers, Chris Roosli and Larry (Kathy) Roosli; sisters, Susan Brey, Diane (Jeff) Sarbacker, and Vonnie Flannery; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene; grandmothers, Josephine Meier and Marie Roosli; and brother-in-law, Edward Brey.

Per his request, private family services will be held. Inurnment will be in the Belleville Cemetery.

The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is assisting the family.
