Winners Announced in the "Hands All Around" Quilt Raffle

August 17, 2017

Hannah Wolf of New Glarus, the lucky winner of the HANDS ALL AROUND quilt raffle, was awarded the bed-size quilt entitled Peace, Love, Joy. Ruth Smith from Oregon was the winner of the second place prize, a lap quilt called Moon Flower. The drawing was held at the 2017 Art Fair.

The profitable quilt raffle has allowed the HAA quilt club to create additional "winners." The club chose three area organizations to receive donations: Badger Honor Flight, Mount Horeb Historical Society, and Mount Horeb Senior Center. Plus a library committee was established to purchase quilting books and support quilting magazine subscriptions for the Mount Horeb Public Library from the raffle proceeds.

HAA thanks the State Bank of Cross Plains, the Gonstead Clinic of Chiropractic, the Cat and the Crow, and Miller and Sons for displaying the quilts prior to the Art Fair. Organizers appreciate all the people who admired the quilts and purchased tickets, which allowed the club to distribute the proceeds to the community.
