The Wings of Hope Walk was started by Tia and Trevor Long, as a way to honor their infant daughter, Adelyne Hannah Long, who died as the result of an automobile accident on June 13, 2014, just one day from her due date. The goal of this annual walk is to raise money for organizations in the Green County area whose mission it is to serve children and/or families. The first annual Wings of Hope Walk in 2015 raised over $7,500.00 for Family Promise, an organization that helps homeless families in the Green County area.
This year’s beneficiary is Jacob’s SWAG Foundation, which helps to provide and support youth educational programs throughout Green County in the areas of bullying, suicide prevention and making positive life choices.
