There was no snow on Christmas this year, but on Monday, December 28, winter seemed to return with a vengeance. Snow began early in the morning before changing to sleet, and some freezing rain. There were some slide-offs reported and a two-vehicle accident late in the afternoon on STH 69, north of New Glarus, that sent one person to the hospital. STH 69 was closed for a time while New Glarus Police, New Glarus Fire, New Glarus Area EMS, Green County Sheriff's Department and Belleville Police Department were on scene.
