The Friends of the New Glarus Public Library have a year of events planned and it all kicks off on February 6, 2016, with the Fourth Annual Trivia Night! Barnaby’s Monticello House, 149 N. Main Street, Monticello, is hosting the event and our Trivia Masters will be The Flying Zupan Brothers.

Our family friendly FUN is the Second Annual FootGolf Event held at the Argue-Ment Golf Course in May, 2016. This sport is a hybrid of soccer and golf and is fun for all ages and abilities.

Our traditional Book Sale will take place on Sunday, September 4, 2016, during the Wilhelm Tell Festival Weekend. If you have books you would like to donate, please drop them off at the New Glarus Public Library.

These events, along with membership donations, raise the funds necessary for the Friends to support our library’s facilities and services that are beyond the scope of the library staff and its budget.

If you would like to get involved with these events, the Friends meet on the fourth Wednesday of every month. The next meeting is on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., at the New Glarus Public Library. No time to attend meetings? You can still be involved!
