Road Rally Takes Place this Saturday
I so wished I had written this article earlier in the week! I am so tired, and I am forcing myself to do this as it is the last article prior to the event! Exhaustion has set in. I was under the impression that the daylight savings time was supposed to start next weekend. You will need the light to do this. Be there and get in line when you can as it is very important! Barb and I were talking about how we need to do this at a different time. The problem is when? I’m not sure when is a better time! We are all busy, including those of you who actually run the rally; not just us who develop the rally.
We are ready! Are you? We are printing our clues. We checked and double checked to make sure that everything was in its place, that all the Is were dotted and the Ts were crossed. We checked to make sure that what we saw is still where it is supposed to be so you can also see it. We are hoping for great weather! I know the beginning of this week is going to pretty much perfect! Please let’s have close to that on Saturday, November 7th!
We also added a few things to the rules, read that document carefully. Please make sure that when you fill out your score sheet, that you include each member of your team as this information is important to us. We also need at least one cell number of your team; we include both of ours for you! Come rested and come prepared for the day. We are hoping you enjoy the ride and the destination. We have seen many changes over the last couple of weeks. Things look very different as the fields are being chopped or cut and not devoid of the crop that used to be there. We still saw some beautiful areas even though the leaves have been blown away and rained down!! We always hope we are showing you new places, something that maybe you never discovered prior to this rally. We have not seen one deer, but have seen quite a few cranes. I got a good picture of a pair, but did not share it in case you could figure out the area. We have met interesting people, very cooperative people, and have incurred the situation of difficulty meeting a certain someone to help us out. It’s almost like this person is a ghost. We are working around that difficulty.
So this Saturday is the BIG day! Meet us at THE STATION, on River Street in Belleville. Please line up according to how you arrived. We will see you near 8:00 a.m. Please register with Connie, be prepared for me to take your picture of all who travel with you and be ready to listen to Barb give you the instructions. It is always advantageous to bring a car full, to read the clue carefully, to listen to the views of others as they interpret and to make good and safe decisions. We will be waiting at the finish line to hear what you thought and we will be happy you made it! We are so grateful that you are joining us, thankful that you are sharing this information so others can do so as well!! Pass this article on so that we can get to our 40 car limit! We hate wasting paper. WE want others to come and find out all about the ROAD RALLY. See you on Saturday morning!!
