Attorneys to be Recognized

The Green County Bar Association is proud to recognize the following lawyers in our community on their membership in the Wisconsin Pro Bono Honor Society with a ceremony to be held at the Green County Justice Center, Branch 1, 2841 6th Street, Monroe, WI 53566, on Monday, September 21, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. Timothy J. Burns, Monroe, and Michael T. Gengler, Monticello, are part of the group of 398 lawyers who earned membership in the Pro Bono Honor Society by providing at least 50 hours of qualifying free or low cost legal assistance to help low income residents in 2014.

As all the justices on the Wisconsin Supreme Court recently noted in their open letter, “Volunteers are a key component of our legal services delivery system in Wisconsin and their services are a valuable contribution to the fair and effective functioning of our courts…The generosity of the Wisconsin Pro Bono Honor Society attorneys helps to ensure equal access to justice for all.”

The Pro Bono Honor Society was created by the Wisconsin Access to Justice Commission as a volunteer recognition program for attorneys.

The Green County Bar Association is the voluntary professional membership association for attorneys in Green County.
