Janelle Mathews

Lake Belle View offers an abundance of fishing and recreation activities for all ages. Check it out at Lakefest!

Save the date for Belleville's fourth annual Lakefest on Sunday, August 30. Belleville will host a grass-roots celebration of the community's $4 million lake restoration that offers fun and education for all ages.

Never canoed or kayaked? Try one, or both, out on a free paddling adventure, or take a self-guided walk on the waterfront berm trail. Cruise the Sugar River on a free pontoon ride. Enter and vote in the Best Lake Belle View photo contest.

See live raptors presented by Dianne Moller of Hoo's Woods.

Enjoy music by Briar Pickers and Spare Time all day and have a laugh at the Bassmeister Comedy Puppet Show.

Bring the little ones for old-fashioned storytelling and a picnic at the playground. Other events include a carp fishing contest, old fashioned cake walk, DNR giant fish aquarium, and bluebird house building.

Bring the whole family for the entire afternoon! Picnic food will be available for purchase. Programs run 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
