Benefit to Be Held for Taylor Elkins

On Saturday. August 22, 2015, a benefit will be held to assist Taylor Elkins following a fire at his business in Fitchburg.

At around 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, a fire destroyed a 40x75 foot shed that was part of Taylor Elkins’ Blue Iris Landscaping business.

Elkins started the business 19 years ago. According to a GoFundMe page set up to assist Elkins, he started out with just a pickup truck and a few tools and has since built Blue Iris.  Before the fire, Blue Iris Landscaping consisted of three dump trucks and thousands of dollars worth of other equipment. Unfortunately, it was all lost in the fire.

This was everything Taylor had, his goal was to save enough money to put his two teenage daughters through college.

The benefit will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the home of Bob Elkins, W5270 CTH W, New Glarus.

The benefit will feature yard games, great food, live music, and of course lots of friendly people.

For more information, contact Blue Iris Landscaping at (608) 238-2464.
