Summer Fun for All at the Dane County Fair
The Dane County Fair takes place through July 19, 2015, at the Alliant Energy Center, Madison. With a variety of activities and events each day, the Fair is a fun, affordable destination for all.
There is something new to experience each day at the Fair with different theme days throughout the week. Support our troops on Thursday for Military Appreciation Day. Friday is Kid’s Day with a variety of activities just for kids. Make sure to check out the tractor parade on Saturday for Safety Day and take in the jalapeno eating contest on Sunday’s Family Fiesta Day.
“4-H projects and animals, carnival rides and Fair food are just a few of the things you can experience during this five-day event,” said Mariah Martin, 2015 Dane County Fairest of the Fair.
Highlights for the 2015 Fair include one of the best nightly concert line-ups the Fair has ever had, the brand-new Clydesdale Youth/Novice Congress, one of the largest carnivals in the Midwest and the state-of-the-art New Holland Pavilions which will house youth projects for the first time.
“Whether you enjoy walking through the Exhibition Hall to see the youth projects and commercial exhibits, watching the animal shows, listening to live music or enjoying a cream puff, there is something for every family member to enjoy,” said Martin.
Parking, daily entertainment and nightly concerts are always free with admission. The Fair features $3.00 admission before 3:00 p.m., for all ages, through Friday. Carnival specials are also available all week long.
