Forrest H. "Timber" Ott, age 86 of New Glarus, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at his home where he was born and raised. Timber was born on January 7, 1929, to his parents, Henry and Clara (Becker) Ott.

He graduated from New Glarus High School and farmed. Timber enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and bowling.

He is survived by his children, Carmen Ott, John Elsner, Dawn Banovez, Angela Donovan, Paul Elsner and David Ott; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Doris; and two grandchildren, Destiny Wirth and John "J.T." Elsner.

A gathering to celebrate Timber's life was held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., on Monday, June 15, 2015, at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 Sixth Avenue, New Glarus, WI. A private family graveside burial service followed in the Swiss Church Cemetery.
