Monticello Foundation Awards Scholarships

Logan Marty, Kallista Baebler, Elmer Lemon, Ashley Risley, Emilie Gietzel and Dez Hanenberger. These five recent graduates were recently awarded with Monticello Foundation Scholarships.

Congratulations to the Monticello High School Class of 2016! The Monticello Foundation awarded five scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each to Logan Marty, son of Jim and Linda Marty; Kallista Baebler, daughter of John and Kathy Baebler; Ashley Risley, daughter of Paul Risley and Danielle Risley; Emilie Gietzel, daughter of Dave Gietzel and Barb Duerst; and Dez Hanenberger, son of Rick and Dawn Hanenberger. The graduates are pictured here with Elmer Lemon, President of The Monticello Foundation, Inc.

The scholarships were awarded at the Senior Banquet held May 25. Out of a graduating class of 22 students, 13 students applied for scholarships. Those 13 students received a total of $123,700! This included local and college-awarded scholarships. Monticello students should feel very fortunate to be a part of our generous community that values the importance of education.
