Dear Editor,

On behalf of The Friends of the Chalet of the Golden Fleece Museum, I’d like to thank all the many people and businesses that helped make our Friday, October 8th Downtown New Glarus Wine Walk such a success. We could not have done this event without the support of our twelve Wine Walk locations: Brenda’s Blumenladen, Earthship Treasures, Hawk’s Mill Winehaus, Hutch + Hide, Lollygag Antiques, Maple Leaf Cheese & Chocolate Haus, New Rose, Railroad Street Boutique, Rusty Raven, Sisters, Sugar River Shoppe, and A Well Worn Story. As always, our New Glarus Chamber of Commerce supported and advised us at every step of our planning. Staff from both the Village of New Glarus’ Clerk’s Office and the New Glarus Police Department were of tremendous help guiding us through the state Wine Walk requirements and local application process. The Chalet Landhaus, Fat Cat Coffee Works, Kennedy’s, and Mike and Shawna Nevil generously donated door prizes. We were honored to serve wine at this event from Bailey’s Run Vineyard & Winery, Hawk’s Mill Winery, Minhas Winery, Southern Italy Imports, and Wollersheim Winery. The Woodford State Bank supplied us with a variety of “goodies” for our Wine Walk goodie bags. And several individuals surprised us with monetary donations to The Friends of the Chalet of the Golden Fleece Museum the evening of the Wine Walk. We sold 80 tickets to this event and are grateful to each and every participant for supporting our “hidden gem” of a museum. We’ve already started planning our Wine Walk for the fall of 2022 and will finalize the date shortly.
