Thoemke Supports Phillipson for Judge

Dear Editor,
I recently sat down to do my homework for the upcoming spring elections, in particular the race for Green County Circuit Court Judge. For me the choice is obvious: I’ll be voting for Faun Phillipson, and I hope your readers will join me in doing so.
Faun is a native of Green County, has a wealth of legal experience and is deeply involved in the New Glarus and broader Green County communities, giving much of her time to important causes on a volunteer basis. I believe she will be fair and impartial as a judge, and serve the cause of justice with both logic and compassion.
Faun’s endorsements come from those who are a backbone of our community, and that speaks volumes to me.
Her opponent’s endorsements, on the other hand, reveal a candidate who views Green County and its people as an afterthought. It is clear to me from reviewing Jane Bucher’s endorsements that her judicial (and perhaps political) ambitions reside one county north of here.
Green County is a wonderful place to live, work and play, and it deserves public servants who consider it a primary priority, not as a stepping stone to a distant destination.
