Gartzke Encourages Voting Phillipson For Judge

Dear Editor,
I encourage all Green County voters to vote for Faun Marie Phillipson for Green County Circuit Court, Branch 1, in the upcoming judicial primary election on February 16.
Professionally, I endorse Attorney Phillipson because she has the widest array of experiences, both in terms of matters handled (criminal and civil), and courts where she has appeared.
It is important to bring to the bench experiences representing all sides of various matters. No one can have practiced in all areas of the law, but Faun has done much of it, and all of what she has done is significant. She brings the best of having practiced in courts across this country. She knows what works in a court room, and is looking forward to applying those skills for the benefit of Green County citizens.
I have been a practicing attorney for almost 35 years. I have based my practice in Green County for the last 28 years, but have never limited myself to just this county. I have seen the value of bringing a wider courtroom experience to this county, of knowing and seeing other ways to problem solve. Faun Phillipson is uniquely in this field of candidates, because of her knowledge of other courts, and she will bring to the Green County bench what no other candidate can.
Personally, I endorse Faun because she has strong local roots and has chosen to return to this community. She has served on various boards both locally in New Glarus, and for the wider county. She has volunteered her time serving citizens through the Green County Family Law Legal Clinic and helping with the Green County literacy project.
I have had the honor to work with Faun for over a decade as coach of the New Glarus Mock Trial Team. She and I spent the entire last weekend at our annual regional tournament. The fact that she donated two valuable days of her time to helping our students, at this critical point in her election, speaks volumes for her commitment to our young people and their futures.
I think we would be well served by electing Faun Phillipson as our next Circuit Court Judge, and I ask you to join me in voting for her on February 16.
