Dear Editor,
A huge thank you to the Village of New Glarus community for your participation and cooperation with the November Election. Thank you to the voters for your understanding with the moving of the polling location and the COVID precautions for in-person absentee voting and at the polls. A special thank you to the New Glarus Fire Department/District for allowing the use of their building so that we could provide a more spacious polling location to keep residents safe. Thank you to Fire Chief Josh Kammerud for all your extra help during the preparations and on Election Day, and thank you to Lt. Jeff Sturdevant for helping with security of the fire equipment and the polls.
And, of course, our sincerest gratitude to the poll workers who put in extremely long hours to make sure each and every voter is treated professionally and every vote is counted. The Village is so fortunate to have such dedicated poll workers who continue to go above and beyond, serving the voters of the Village.
