Belleville Red Cross Drive

Dear Editor,
Sending a note of thanks to the people of Belleville and surrounding communities who answered the crisis call from the Red Cross to give blood and platelets at the Belleville Kiwanis and Econo-misers recent drive. 60 pints were collected, exceeding our goal of 56 units.

Our thanks go out to the volunteers doing double duty taking temperatures and disinfecting between each donor, while also staffing the drive: Ray Ellenberger, Jeanine Mabis, George Kaminski, Carol Keller, Wayne Hammerstrom, Yvonne and Jerry Remy and Fred and Sue Bonacker. To those who provided homemade individually wrapped treats: Jill Wennesheimer, Esther Huntoon, Yvonne and Sue. Thank you also to Saint Francis of Assisi for once again hosting our Blood Drive in their St. Mary’s Hall, the Post Messenger Recorder, Culver’s of New Glarus (which provides “Pint for Pint” coupons for donors), and, especially you, the donors.
