Dear Editor,

Happy Teacher Appreciation week! I would like to extend a great big thank you to all the teachers in the area. Family child care teachers, infant and toddler teachers, preschool teachers, school age child care teachers, 4k-12th grade, Technical college, and University and Secondary school teachers are proving that teaching doesn’t happen in a building. Teaching is about the teacher and their understanding of how to reach a child where they are at and supporting their development. That it is about the relationships and connections and truly knowing their students and how a person learns is what our teachers are always doing-and that is being highlighted right now. So thank you to all the area teachers for being so dedicated to your students, you are appreciated more than can ever be expressed.

Community members of all ages take time this week to reflect on all the teachers you had and please take a moment to reach out and share those stories.
