Dear Editor,

September 24th was a beautiful day, unlike the storm at our last drive which forced the Red Cross to shut us down early. This time we were able to collect 51 units for the Red Cross.

Our donors included Marie Wonders, Vickie Davis, Marie Venden, Mike O’Connor, Cynthia Mackenzie, Jerry Brown, Don Sparby, Kyle Olson, Sue Bonacker, Mary Frederickson, Carolyn Bourie, Delores Butler, Kathy Gobel, Randy Zimmerman, Dawn Johnson, Landis Heitz, Fred Bonacker, Ron Fahey, Russell Cichy, Linda Drea, Ray Ellenberger, Megan O’Brien, Leone Olstad, Kurt Schadewalt, Faith Wittwer, Lori Stadelman, Julie Sutter-Blair, Anthony Dockery, Jeffrey L. Legler, Paul Appelt, Juanita Harbort, Jason Erickson, Joleen Elsing, Denny Meyer Sr., Garrett Marlin, Bryce Weber, Ruth Roper, Shawn Gratz, Cheri Kainz, Doris Diaz, Bridget Kiefer, Kate Peterson, and Whitney Brown.

The whole process went very smoothly with the help of our volunteers, including Fred and Sue Bonacker, Wayne Hammerstrom, Ruth Anderson, Jeanine and Ernie Mabis, Esther and Jim Huntoon, Carol Keller, Norma Baker, Mary Steers, Jerry Remy, Ray and Mary Ellenberger.

Our thanks go out to Saint Francis of Assisi for once again hosting our Blood Drive in their St. Mary’s of Lourdes church, the Post Messenger Recorder, Culver’s of New Glarus (which provides “pint for pint” coupons for donors), the Belleville Public Works Department, the volunteers, and especially the donors.
