The Green County Family YMCA installed a new filter system in their pool that reduces the need for chlorine. A grand re-opening of the Y’s Aquatic Center will be on Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., along with a Community Open House. The water still contains chlorine, according to a statement from the Y, but it’s about 80% less than it had been. The water is treated through a UV light and is pumped into the pools.
