On Monday, July 11, 2022, a groundbreaking was held for the new MPPM Mutual Insurance building in Monticello.
Mt. Pleasant Perry Middleton is one of Monticello's oldest businesses, at 146 years old. Mt. Pleasant Mutual Fire was established on May 27, 1876, with 26 policies. On January 1, 2020, Middleton Insurance Company merged into Mt. Pleasant Perry.
MPPM currently has around 3,400 policies and are currently located at 306 E. Lake Avenue. The current building was previously the Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church and Freitag Chiropractic. Their new building will be located at 239...
