Village of Monticello Spring Clean Up Day and E-Waste Event

All Items Must be Separated/Sorted and Curbside by 7:00 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022.
All debris, excluding brush, must be in an area not larger than 4’wide x 10’ long x 4’ high.
Items accepted are: Furniture and miscellaneous junk, burn barrels to be discarded must be empty, brush and scrap lumber with no tree limbs over 6” in diameter or 8’ in length – in separate pile stacked parallel with street, paint cans must be empty, or open with paint completely dried.
Refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, air conditioners and anything containing Freon will be picked up, however, all Freon shall be removed by a licensed person and a certified statement needs to be received by the village clerk. Please call the clerk at (608) 938-4383 for details.
Items that are NOT accepted include: NO closed bags or containers/all items must be clearly visible, NO construction materials of any kind, NO propane tanks or cylinders, No e-waste (computers, TVs, radios, anything with circuit boards).
All containers used to hold debris will be discarded.
Ashes and recyclables shall be disposed of at the recycling center. Rock, brick, cement, garden debris, leaves, and dirt can be disposed of during regular recycling center hours.
No tires or garbage will be picked up.
Monticello E-Recycle Event
The Village of Monticello E-Recycling event will take place on Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., at the Recycling Center. The Recycling Center is located at 406 N. Main Street (behind the cheese factory). This event is for Village of Monticello residents and businesses only.
Items accepted include: Desktop computer (base), desktop printers (including printers with fax, scanning and copying capabilities), TVs and computer monitors (CRT Tube Type, projection and flat screen), laptops, computer peripherals (including keyboards, mouse, hard drives, scanners, speakers, flash drives, external modems and other devices), fax machines, DVD players, VCRs and DVRs.
The cost to recycle for all items is $0.35 per pound.
