Wisconsin Business World – a program of WMC Foundation – have announced the winners of its annual "Business is a Force for Good" Essay Contest, presented by Georgia-Pacific. The essay contest was held statewide for students in grades 8-12, giving them the opportunity to highlight the importance of business in their community, especially in response to the pandemic.

Wisconsin Students in grades 6-12 were required to write an essay of no longer than 1,000 words that highlights the importance of business in their community and the incredible way they are witnessing companies in Wisconsin respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students used specific examples of businesses being a Force for Good in Wisconsin during the pandemic and cited their sources. The top three winning entrees each received $500.

The winners of the Wisconsin Business World "Business is a Force for Good" Essay Contest are:

Kaylie Clark, an 8th Grader at New Glarus Middle School; Ella Waterworth, a Junior at Saint Croix Falls High School; and Muntaha Raza, a Sophomore at Brookfield Central High School.

Since 1982, Wisconsin Business World – a program of WMC Foundation –has educated more than 25,000 high school students on business, entrepreneurism and the free market, through Summer Camps, one-day programs, online curriculum and classroom presentations.
