Peters and Roe Receive Scholarship from Green County Home and Community Education

Green County Home and Community Education is happy to announce the winners of this year's high school senior scholarships. The two students that have been awarded this year's scholarships are Megan Peters and Natalie Roe, who both attend Monticello High School.

Megan is the daughter of Daniel and Angela Peters. She plans to attend Carroll College and major in Biology and minor in Animal Behavior. She would like to work in a zoo or for the Department of Natural Resources. She has participated in volleyball, basketball, the math team, Spanish Club, FFA and served as a class officer at her previous Albany High School and is graduating with academic honors.

Our second winner is Natalie Roe who is the daughter of Dan and Sally Roe. She plans to attend the University of Wisconsin to obtain a degree in Dairy Science, hoping to go into the fields of dairy genetics or dairy nutrition. She was the Wisconsin State Soil Judging champion, organized the meat orders at her school when the teacher contracted COVID, she was the President of the Brown Swiss Junior Association, secretary for Countryside Dog Project, helped at Meals on Wheels, Brotherhood Brunch, Blankets for Hospice, helped with cleaning up Marshall Bluff and was the Brown Swiss Dairy Queen.

Wishing much success to these two young ladies in their future! CONGRATULATIONS!
