Albertson Memorial Library to Hold Fall Silent Auction
September 10, 2020
The Albertson Memorial Library Board and staff are preparing for our 13th Annual Fall Silent Auction. This has been a challenging year for all of us. The library has had to change our service structure, offering more online services, offering individual materials selection for patrons who cannot enter the building, as well as adding measures for cleaning for the health and safety of both our staff and our patrons.
This past year we have upgraded three patron and one staff computer. The Library database has been moved to a cloud server to offer more security to our patrons. The printer/copier/fax machine has been updated and now offers secure printing from your home computer or mobile device.
Since in-person meetings are happening less often, we need your help now more than ever. We need your help to maintain our computers, software, wireless availability, secure printing, copying, and faxing, as well as digital e-books and audio books. Our goal again this year is to raise $3,500.
Please consider donating toward our auction by contributing an individual item(s), gift certificate(s), or your own themed basket for patrons to bid on. Cash donations are also welcome. Items will be displayed online at https://www.32auctions.com/AlbertsonMemorialLibrary from Monday, November 2nd until Saturday, November 14th, when bidding will close at 1:00 p.m.
By donating, your local business or service gains visibility while connecting to a target audience that may or may not already patronize your establishment. We publicize within the library and via multiple media sources the names of the individuals and businesses that donate to the auction.
Please consider contributing by October 1st. Items may be mailed to or dropped off at Albertson Memorial Library, 200 N. Water St., Albany, WI 53502. We are also more than willing to pick up any donation at your convenience. Please contact the library at (608) 862-3491 or email us at albertsonlibrary@gmail.com to ask questions or request a pick-up.
Thank you for valuing library service to the Albany community and supporting our silent auction.
