The Belleville School District is welcoming several new staff members this year.
Elizabeth Reis is joining the district as the Middle School Spanish teacher and Middle/High School ESL teacher, and is originally from Davenport, Iowa. "I was given the opportunity to substitute teach for Belleville January through July. The students and staff made me fall in love with the town and school, I just couldn't leave!" says Reis. "I am so excited to meet more students and spend more time in the community."
Belleville-native Kim Allen is a 5th Grade Teacher. "I grew up in Belleville and after living elsewhere for a decade or so, I returned to Belleville with my own family," said Allen. "I've been substitute teaching in the district for two years, and have loved being part of the school district. I look forward to continuing to grow as a teacher and community member here in Belleville."
Another native of Belleville, Kaitlin Hoven, is joining the district as a 4K Teacher. "After growing up in the Belleville area and attending Belleville Schools myself, I have come to love the tight-knit community feel that Belleville emanates," said Hoven. "Not only this, but after spending a year long-term subbing in Belleville Schools, I have loved working with all of the students and staff in this district. I am so excited to continue my teaching career in such an amazing community, full of even more amazing people."
Emilee Meincke, originally from Bettendorf, Iowa, is joining the district as a 7th Grade ELA Teacher. "I'm excited to teach at Belleville because it is a great community filled with lots of really friendly people!" said Meincke.
Kim Hedeman is from Monroe and joins the district as a Kindergarten Teacher. "I love teaching in a small community where I am able to get to know my students and their families on a personal level," says Hedeman. "Belleville School District has proven to be a district with dedicated staff, wonderful students, and a supportive community, and I am so excited to be a part of the Wildcat family!"
Hailing from Eau Claire, Madison Blair is joining the Belleville School District as a Speech Language Pathologist. "I'm so excited to be joining a small district where I can really get to know my students and coworkers!" says Blair.
Joining the district as an Elementary Music Teacher, Tyler Kraft is originally from Milwaukee. "My colleagues have already been so supportive, and it truly seems like a family here. I have all the resources I could ever imagine to provide my students with wonderful and unique experiences, even if those experiences are virtual," says Kraft. "I'm also quite new to the area, so I'm looking forward to starting a new adventure!"
Valerie Kieler is from Dickeyville, and joins the district as a Kindergarten Teacher. "I am excited to be teaching in Belleville because the small district allows me to build more meaningful connections with the students, their families, and my colleagues," said Kieler. "I am thrilled to have landed a position in my dream grade level with the added bonus of being in Belleville! Go Wildcats!"
Originally from Albany, Sydney Bump is joining the district as a First Grade Teacher. "I am most excited about forming relationships with the students, staff, and community here in Belleville and being a part of a close-knit community!" said Bump.
