Belleville
The first day of school in Belleville is Tuesday, September 8. Because of Public Health Madison & Dane County’s Emergency Order #9, only grades PK-2 will meet in-person to start the year. See article on the Emergency Order on page 9.
Monticello
The first official day of school in Wisconsin is September 1. Superintendent Al Brokopp noted, “On August 31, we will have a summer school day for all students. Though not mandatory, we highly encourage all students to attend. We will provide transportation, lunch, and all services just as if it were a normal school day. Because we were unable to do transition activities last spring and there will be no open house, we feel it’s extremely important for our students to acclimate to new safety procedures and changes we intend to implement due to COVID-19.”
New Glarus
The New Glarus School District website indicates that as of August 24, 2020, the first day of school in New Glarus will be on September 1, 2020.
