Governor Evers' Personal Assistant Dies in Sugar River Tubing Accident

On Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 3:20 p.m., Green County Deputies and the Albany Fire Department responded to the area of N4600 County Highway E to a report of a male subject tubing on the Sugar River who went under the water and did not resurface. Also responding were Albany EMS, Green County EMS, Brodhead Fire Department, WI Department of Natural Resources, Janesville Fire’s Water Rescue Team and the Rock County Dive Team.
At 6:05 p.m., searchers located the body of a 25-year-old Madison man in the water about 400 yards from where he entered the water.
