34th Annual Cruis'n Wisconsin Car, Motorcycle and Truck Show
Sunday, July 12, 2020, in Blanchardville
June 25, 2020
The Blanchardville Community Pride will be sponsoring their 34th Annual Cruis’n Wisconsin Car, Motorcycle and Truck Show, on Sunday, July 12, 2020, rain or shine, in McKellar Park, Blanchardville.
With the uncertain times with COVID-19, we are planning to run our show like years past. Although as the show date gets closer, we may have to alter the show by ways of not judging, limiting awards, no food/beer sales, etc. These details will come as we monitor the situation and make necessary changes closer to the date. The health and safety of all participants and spectators is our number one priority, so if this is not possible, we may need to cancel the show entirely. We will keep all updated information on our Facebook Page “Cruisin’ WI Car Show”.
This year’s feature vehicle will be a 1957 Chevy Pickup, “Ground Truck,” owned by Perry Podd of Franklin, Wisconsin. The 10-year project was built by John Burnside of Cool Kustoms, also in Franklin. The Chevy is powered by a 383 stroker making 500 horsepower. The interior was completely done by Cool Kustoms, with custom one off gauges. Other features include a House of Kolor “Blue Blood” red paint, shaved door handles, molded in bumper and grille moldings and Hemi valve covers, just to name a few. The truck has won “Best Truck” at the Milwaukee World of Wheels four years in a row.
Keith and Tina Ritschard, of Argyle, are this year’s Local Spotlight with a 1966 Shelby Cobra replica. It was a 427 cubic inch motor built by Blue Oval Performance in Colorado, and this will be their first time showing the car. This year’s Special Vendor is Wrecktify Collision and Restoration of New Glarus. They will be displaying some samples of their current restoration projects.
All stock to 6-years-old and modified to present vehicles are welcome. 130+ trophies, 37 classes, three “Best of Class” trophies in each class, larger classes - four or more trophies awarded, judged show. Non-food, craft and swap vendors welcome.
