New Glarus Fire Department announced that the annual Firefest celebration, scheduled for August 1, 2020, will be cancelled. On their Facebook page, NGFD stated, “Due to COVID-19, large group restriction uncertainty and the safety of our community, we have made the tough decision to cancel Firefest 2020. Stay tuned as we are planning something special on Saturday, August 1st, in connection to our department and Swiss heritage. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
