Groundbreaking For Prairie Haus Apartments

On Friday, December 13, 2019, a Groundbreaking Ceremony was held for Prairie Haus Apartments on Elmer Road in New Glarus. Bulldozers and a backhoe began to move the earth at Elmer Road in New Glarus beginning construction of Prairie Haus, a 40-unit apartment building, on Monday, December 9th. The apartments will become home for adults with autism and other different abilities, local workers and active seniors. Prairie Haus is a collaborative project of the non-profits Home Of Our Own, Inc. (HOOO), and Wisconsin Housing Preservation Corp. (WHPC).
