First Responders Honored as Hometown Heroes

First Responders from across Wisconsin were honored at the Assembly Session in the State Capitol on October 10. Five area recipients were among those honored.
On Thursday, October 10, 2019, during a State Assembly Floor Session, First Responders of the Year were recognized from all over the state for their contributions to public safety and their communities.
There were five recipients from the 80th Assembly District, Monticello Fire Captain Ron Blumer, New Glarus Fire Chief David Anderson, Green County Sheriff's Office Dispatcher Meagan Christen, New Glarus Area EMS Chief Kristie Mueller, and New Glarus Area EMS Advanced EMT Joshua Wescott.
