Area Firefighters Respond to Town of Montrose Blaze

On September 19, 2019, at approximately 12:35 a.m., the Belleville Fire Department was called to a tractor fire on CTH A in the Town of Montrose.
Upon arrival it was discovered that there were multiple tractors, other equipment, and many large hay bales on fire in an open feed lot.
In addition to Belleville Fire, Belleville EMS and Belleville Police, New Glarus, Verona, Fitchburg, Mount Horeb, Brooklyn, Monticello and McFarland Fire departments assisted on scene. It was reported that 21,950 gallons of water was used to fight the fire. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this point.
