2019 New Glarus Farmers Market
April 25, 2019
The New Glarus Farmers Market plans to open on Friday, May 10th. The location stays the same as last year, in the parking lot of the New Glarus Hometown Pharmacy at 1101 State Highway 69 and the market has new hours for the 2019 season, from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
The New Glarus Farmers Market is a vendor operated group whose purpose is to contribute to the success of their local agriculture and small scale farmers, as well as specialty product entrepreneurs. The market strengthens the local economy, connects people to local agriculture and serves as a community gathering place.
The organizers of the market are working hard behind the scenes to increase the variety of products offered this season. They’re looking for vendors with produce, jams, eggs, meats, cheeses, fish and seafood, candies, herbs, spices, baked goods, prepared foods, specialty foods, beverages, fresh and dried flowers, seedlings, houseplants, annuals and perennials.
The organizers are also looking for volunteers to assist in setting up and tearing down each Friday, and to distribute flyers.
The New Glarus Farmers Market is self-funded by vendor fees, which help pay for advertising expenses and promotional activities. Additional funds can be donated at their Go Fund Me page located at http://www.gofundme.com/newglarusfarmersmarket.
