On Tuesday, March 5th, the New Glarus Raise Your Voice Club and Art Club hosted a "Paint Night" at New Glarus High School in the art room. Raise Your Voice Club is sponsored by NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and the focus of the club is to raise mental health awareness, empowering students, promoting mental health resources, developing advocates and leaders, and creating an overall greater dialogue for mental health and wellness. NAMI provided the funding for the paints, canvases, and snacks for the students. We had a great turn out and it was a fun event to promote a healthy way to cope with life's stressors: creativity!
