Super Blood Wolf Moon On Sunday Night

Despite the sub-zero temperatures on Sunday night, January 20, 2019, there was a beautiful sight in the night sky, the Super Blood Wolf Moon.

To break it down, a Wolf Moon is a full moon occurring in January. During a total eclipse, the moon appears red, known as a Blood Moon. The Super Blood Wolf Moon is a total lunar eclipse that occurs in January and coincides with when the moon is approximately at its closest distance to Earth, resulting in a moon that appears larger than usual (a Supermoon).
