The Lake Montesian Fisheree, sponsored by the Green County Conservation League and the Monticello Lions Club, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Lake Montesian in Monticello. You may fish from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

There is no entry fee for the Fisheree, however you must purchase a raffle ticket to be eligible for fish prizes. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each, or six for $5.00. The first place prize is $300, second place is $200 and third place is $100. Prizes will be given for largest fish in various species and the largest/smallest fish overall. Door prize drawings will take place at 1:30 p.m., and the grand prize drawing is at 2:30 p.m. – you need not be present to win. There will also be a kids contest with prizes for the largest or the smallest fish.

The drawings and a food stand, with Chili, Brats, Hot Dogs and Coffee, Hot Chocolate or Soda, will be at the heated octagon Lake Montesian Shelter House.
