New Glarus Elementary Kindergarten and First Grade classes recently raised money to buy animals through Heifer International. Heifer International is an organization that focuses on ending hunger and poverty in the world by providing tools to produce food and a reliable income to families in need. Our students raised $640 and were able to buy honeybees, a pig, three rabbits, a flock of chickens, a llama, a goat, and a lamb. Representatives from each of our K/1 classes are pictured.
