On August 25, at 10:28 a.m., Green County Deputies, along with New Glarus Fire Department and New Glarus Area EMS responded to the intersection of CTH J and STH 39, Town of York, for a two-vehicle crash with injuries. Investigation revealed that Cassandra C. Volgelsberg, 26, Blanchardville, was traveling east on STH 39. James J. MacDonald, 71, Madison, proceeded north on CTH J from the STH 39 stop sign and the two vehicles collided. Volgelsberg was wearing her seatbelt and was injured in the crash.
