Congratulations to the New Glarus Band and Choir students who participated in the State Solo and Ensemble on Saturday, April 28th!  Emma Eicher received a 1st for her Alto Sax Solo, Ben Copeland received a 1st for his trombone solo, the Brass Ensemble received a 2nd, Aimee Kujak received a 1st for her Classical Choral Solo and her Theater Solo, Aimee Kujak and Lizzy Woerpel received a 2nd for their Choral Duet, Michael Schieldt received a 2nd for his Classical Choral Solo, and Ben Lukszys received a 2nd for his Piano Solo.

Aimee Kujak also received the WSMA Exemplary Solo Award at the State Solo and Ensemble Festival. State judges identify performances at each of the state festival campuses through a two-step process:  nomination and final selection. Students who are selected for the award receive a certificate from WSMA in recognition of their outstanding performance at the State Festival.
