National Crop Insurance Services (NCIS) reports that crop insurance protected $2.2 billion on growing crops in Wisconsin in 2016. There were more than 5.3 million acres insured and $24 million was paid to farmers in indemnities for production and/or revenue losses.
The deadline to purchase crop insurance for this year’s growing season is March 15, 2018.
