October 26, 2017

The Green County Genealogical Society will have a panel discussion on the “Why and How to Join a Lineage Society” for the November 4th meeting program. A panel of members of lineage societies will discuss the requirements, process, and benefits of joining their society. A question and answer period will follow their presentations.

The Green County Genealogical Society meeting will be held in the second floor meeting room of the Monroe Public Library, 925 16th Avenue, Monroe, at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 4. Visitors are always welcome and there is no cost to attend. You may call Sharon Mitchell (815) 868-2416, or Donna Kjendlie (608) 921-1537, if you have questions.

The GCGS Research Center (located in lower level of the Monroe Public Library) is available to the public for research. Research Center hours are: Tuesdays and the third Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the first Saturday, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., or by appointment. Main holdings are on Green County.
