New Glarus Utilities Celebrates 115th Anniversary

New Glarus Utilities' first electric generator, June 30, 1902.  It's likely this generator powered every early home and business in the Village of New Glarus. 

New Glarus Utilities, New Glarus' locally owned, not-for-profit electric, water and wastewater utility, celebrates its 115th anniversary this year.

New Glarus Utilities is a proud member-owner of WPPI Energy, a not-for-profit wholesale energy provider and joint action agency. The utility's milestone anniversary was recognized at an awards luncheon during WPPI Energy's annual conference in September. New Glarus Utilities representative Scott Jelle accepted a token of esteem on behalf of the utility.
