Storms Batter Area Last Week

With reported rainfalls last week of four inches or more, as well as high winds in some storms, emergency and utility workers were kept busy trying to clean up.
There was wide spread flooding by the weekend and numerous roads were closed due to high water. Hundreds of residents in our area were without electricity, with some of the outages lasting for two or more days.
