Poppy Poster Awards Presented

Every year, the fifth grade class is invited to make posters about the Legion's national symbol, the poppy. Eileen Henning visits with the class and speaks to them about the required things that should be on the posters. The American Legion Auxiliary must be on them. If they elect to add a cross, they must also add a Star of David. If the flag is added, they must have the correct number of stars and stripes.

The students were given eight days to design and complete their individual posters, which were then picked up and judged by two Legion members and two Auxiliary members.
